This Privacy Policy describes Our policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of Your information when You use the Service and tells You about Your privacy rights and how the law protects You.

ANAHATA Yoga School respects the privacy of its clients, website visitors and other individuals, and is committed to protecting personal data.

This Privacy Policy explains how SIA “Perpetuum Mobile”, operating under the ANAHATA brand, collects, uses, stores and protects personal data, as well as individuals’ rights concerning the processing of their data.

Personal data is processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR), Latvia’s Personal Data Processing Law and other applicable laws of the Republic of Latvia.

1. Data controller

The data controller is:

Registration No.: 40003676421
ANAHATA Yoga School
Tērbatas iela 49/51, 4th floor, Riga, Latvia
Email: info@anahata.lv

Hereinafter referred to as ANAHATA or the Controller.

2. What personal data is processed?

Depending on the ANAHATA service used and the method of communication, we may process:

  • first and last name;
  • email address;
  • telephone number;
  • information about registration for yoga classes, courses, seminars, workshops, retreats and other events;
  • information needed to provide a service and assist the client;
  • information about payments and related accounting data;
  • information provided by an individual when contacting ANAHATA;
  • an online class participant’s name, username, image and voice, if visible or audible during the class;
  • technical information generated when using the ANAHATA website and online services, such as an IP address and cookie information.

ANAHATA processes only the personal data necessary for the specific purpose of processing.

3. Collection of personal data through the website contact form

Visitors may be able to contact ANAHATA through a contact form on its website.

The form may ask for:

  • name;
  • email address;
  • telephone number;
  • the content of the message or enquiry.

These details are used to:

  • respond to the person’s question or enquiry;
  • contact the person about the ANAHATA service they are interested in;
  • provide information about classes, courses or events at the person’s request;
  • prepare for or provide a service where necessary.

The legal basis for processing is responding to the person’s request, taking steps necessary to enter into a contract, or the Controller’s legitimate interests, where applicable.

Personal data submitted through the contact form is not used for other marketing communications unless there is an appropriate legal basis.

4. Registration for ANAHATA classes and events

When a person registers for yoga classes, courses, seminars, workshops, retreats or other events organised by ANAHATA, we process the data necessary to register the booking, inform the client and provide the service.
The legal basis for processing is entering into and performing a contract, as well as fulfilling the Controller’s legal obligations, including accounting and tax requirements.

5. Online yoga classes

ANAHATA also provides online yoga classes using Zoom.

To facilitate participation in an online session, data necessary for identifying the participant and enabling connection to the session—including name, email address, and technical information—may be processed.

When using the Zoom platform, the Zoom service provider may also have access to personal data for processing purposes, in accordance with its terms and privacy policy.

Participants joining an online session should be aware that, depending on the specific session settings, their name, image, and voice may be visible or audible to other participants or in the session recording.

6. Recording of online classes

Certain ANAHATA online classes may be recorded to allow the class to be used after it has taken place and to offer the recording for purchase on the ANAHATA website.

The class recording may show and capture:

  •  the ANAHATA instructor;
  •  class participants;
  •  participants’ names or Zoom usernames;
  •  participants’ images;
  •  participants’ voices, if audible during the class.

Participants are informed that a specific class is being recorded either before the class begins or before joining it.

If a person does not wish for their image or voice to be included in the class recording, they must turn off their camera and microphone before recording begins, provided the technical settings for the specific class allow this.

Participants are not required to turn on their camera or microphone unless necessary for the conduct of the specific class.

7. Use and sale of class recordings

ANAHATA may retain recorded classes and offer such recordings for purchase or viewing on the ANAHATA website.

Recordings may be used for:

  •  reusing the content of the specific class;
  •  providing clients with access to purchased content;
  •  technical processing of the recording;
  •  offering and selling class recordings on the ANAHATA website.

Recordings are made available only to the extent necessary to provide the relevant service.

ANAHATA takes reasonable measures to ensure that recordings are not publicly accessible to persons not authorized to view them.

8. Photos and videos

Photography or filming may take place in certain instances during ANAHATA events, classes, or other activities.

If photographs or videos are intended for use on the ANAHATA website, on social media, or in promotional materials, and the individuals therein are identifiable, ANAHATA ensures an appropriate legal basis for such use.

Where necessary, the individual’s consent is obtained separately.

9. Payments and accounting data

Payments for ANAHATA services may be made via bank transfer or other payment methods offered by ANAHATA.

To identify the payment and ensure the provision of the service, ANAHATA may process the payer’s name, payment amount, payment date, payment purpose, and other payment-related data.

Personal data contained in accounting documents are retained for the period prescribed by applicable laws and regulations.

ANAHATA does not store bank payment card data if such data is processed directly by the payment service provider.

10. Marketing communication

ANAHATA may send information regarding classes, courses, seminars, events, and other services, provided there is an appropriate legal basis for doing so.

If marketing communications are sent based on an individual’s consent, that individual may withdraw their consent at any time.

Upon the expiration of the retention period, personal data is deleted or anonymized, unless otherwise required by law.
